Weekly recap (or, what we did this week!)

As we embark on a long weekend (for many) make sure on Monday/Memorial day you take some time to reflex on the men and women that went to war and gave their lives for our freedoms. And now, here’s just a bit of what we did this week.

Research shows that a spider can hear what you’re doing from over ten feet away. (This is why I use a slingshot to pick ’em off the walls. It leaves a mark but it does the job)
Switzerland archeologists found a loaf of bread that’s more than 2-thousand years old. They think it was baked by Roman soldiers and they want to test it to see what it was made of. (Ummmm, it’s bread so, flour?)
An asteroid, that NASA named 2026 JH2, which is about the size of four 18-wheelers stack on top of each other missed earth this week by 19,000 miles. It’ll be back around in a few years. NASA is “hoping it misses us again”. (That’s comforting!)
Google unveiled its first new search bar in over 25 years. (I’ll sleep better tonight, thanks Google)

Mike is BACK on the air every morning all across Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley on 105-7 CFW! With over 28+ years in the Chippewa Valley, this has become home for Mike and his wife Lori. His kids grew up here and they still live here as well. When he's not on the air waking up the Valley, Mike spends time working around the house and yard as well as relaxing on the deck, usually more time relaxing than working! Weekends mean exploring the area and even after all these years, both he and his wife Lori still find things they've never seen before. Mike enjoys a little bit of online poker and spending quality time with his Pomeranian GiGi and kitty "Violet". Oh, and hockey is the only sport that matters in his house, "GO WILD"!
